The combination of AWS Services Shield, WAF, and CloudFront offers you a high level of security, control, and scalability.

AWS Shield is a managed distributed denial of service (DDoS) to protect applications running on AWS. Any attack results in active detection and automatic in-line mitigation to minimize the outage and latency time of applications.

AWS WAF is a web application firewall that provides you with control over the data traffic accessing your applications. Managed rules offer you the possibility of blocking common web-based attacks and preconfigured data traffic patterns.

Using AWS CloudFront provides a CDN to deliver content to customers. CloudFront consists of a global network of Edge locations. Customer inquiries are delivered by the Edge location with the lowest latency to achieve best performance at all times with regard to latency and load time.
